Mathew and I can't wait to start the new chapter of our lives as husband and wife together by taking an amazing adventure into the Alps of Austria. Since Mat and I's favorite thing to enjoy together in snowboarding and seeing how we first met at Timberline Lodge, we decided it was only fitting to take a snowboard trip to the Alps. St. Anton to be exact, where it is said skiing was first invented. Plus we sweated about half our body weight in SE Asia last year, so were going to some colder climate where we will be more acclimated.

The Glacier Express is an express train connecting railway stations of the two major mountain resorts of St. Moritz and Zermatt in the Swiss Alps. The trip on the Glacier Express is a 7½ hour railway journey across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass on the highest point at 2,033 m (6,670 ft) in altitude.For much of its journey, it also passes along and through the World Heritage Site known as the Rhaetian Railway in the Albula / Bernina Landscapes.

St. Anton am Arlberg “Cradle of Alpine skiing” is a snowy paradise of the highest calibre. Arlberg has always been famous for its beauty, reliable snow extending right down to the villages and the excellent condition of its slopes. A total of 87 of state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts offer the highest standard of safety and comfort. The Arlberg ski resort encompasses approx. 50 km² (including the off-run areas) and extends over 1,500 m of altitude up to the Valluga peak at 2,811 m. With daily lift tickets for the entire region for only $60 we will be sure to get our fill of that white stuff with 3 whole days of skiing!
